About Patricia Novack
My name is Patricia L. Novack. I was born in Detroit, Michigan and moved to California when I was 16 years old. I have been a 911, Police, Fire, and Paramedic dispatcher for a number of years and recently retired. I used to draw as a child, but never painted until I was an adult. I put my paints away when I had children and picked them back up after they were grown. I worked long hours, so not much time to paint while I was working. I\'ve done oils, acrylics, watercolors and pastels. I probably enjoy acrylics and watercolors the best. I\'m always finding new ways to paint them and enjoy reading how other artists paint. I\'m trying to loosen up my painting skills because I\'m definitely not an impressionistic painter.
I\'m going to continue to learn and paint and now that I\'m retired I am taking more trips to places where I take photos of places and pictures that I want to paint. I see the world through artists\' eyes always trying to decide what color I would paint something. It\'s a wonderful hobby and when I\'m painting I forget everything else and just enjoy!
